Kairos Career Fair kicks off in two weeks

On Friday, April 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Connection Center, Kairos will present it's first ever Career Fair, a "Do Work, Do Life" event.

This free event is designed to connect people with potential employers. More than 50 companies, colleges, and local organizations will be present to meet with potential employees. Those attending should come prepared with a resume in hand and time to meet and network with organizations on site.

Sponsors and employers include Union University (Hendersonville), The University of Tennessee, LifeWay Christian Resources, Shelter Insurance, Middle Tennessee State University, Belmont University, Dallas Theological Seminary, Lipscomb University, Mary Kay, The Dave Ramsey Show, SunTrust, Trevecca Nazarene University, The A Group: Marketing & Media, The University of Alabama (Continuing Studies), Capital Financial Group, Free Will Baptist Bible College, and others.

Jeremy Stephens, Kairos Career Fair Coordinator, said, "The idea originally started because there was a need among people looking for work in the Kairos crowd—people who are getting ready to graduate from college or those who've been in the work force for 5-10 years and are looking to advance their careers—and some employers who were looking for quality applicants. Some people may be considering graduate programs or looking to advance in their careers. We've got organizations coming for both of those groups."

The precursor classes began two weeks ago—led by Brentwood Baptist and Kairos members: Rich Miles, whose worked in the healthcare industry for more than 30 years; Sara Fincher, who works in Human Resources at Gibson Guitars; and Katrina Miller, who works for the State of Tennessee Higher Education Commission.

Those interested can still jump in by registering online before the Career Fair kicks off at the end of the month.
