Nurture Team ministers primarily to those families not already active in a community-based LifeGroup or Bible Study during times of childbirth, illness, and death in the family. In addition, the Nurture Team will assist a LifeGroup or Bible Study in caring for families in extended circumstances.

Blooming Blessings (Leader: Anile Bretschneider)
Meets every Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the Usher Room.
Prepares and delivers fresh flower arrangements. -
Blessing Baskets (Leader: Leslie Pippin)
Meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Parlor.
Prepares and delivers baskets six-weeks after the death of a loved one reminding them of our prayers. -
Prayer Shawls (Leader: Lucy Merrell)
Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Parlor.
Knits and crochets prayer shawls for families in need of comfort as well as during happy occasions. -
Card Team (Leader: Denise Turner)
Meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Parlor.
Writes cards of praise, encouragement, and sympathy. -
Hospital Care Baskets (Leader: Jean Mason)
Meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Parlor.
Prepares and delivers baskets of yummy goodies and necessary items for families in the hospital. -
Condolence Ministry (Leaders: Allie Mosley and Shirley Wells)
Contacts family, provide food for funeral home if needed and host visitation in the church parlor.

First Touch (Leader: Ruby Thorpe)
Contacts families to assess their needs. Care needs are reported to and provided by the other teams.

Food Team (Leader: Lillian Dibblee)
Prepares and delivers meals. Consists of five food teams each led by a food team coordinator.

Freezer Ministry (Leader: Delores Johnson)
Prepares and maintains pre-packaged and previously prepared meal items.

Special Projects (Leader: Barbara Holbrook)
Coordinates activities with area hospitals, support groups and miscellaneous projects.
