"The best thing that someone looking for a job can get is introductions to decision makers in their occupational area. Getting a contact (name) is OK, but a true introduction is much better. My challenge to the Church is to make a habit of finding out who is unemployed, finding out what their occupation is, and if there is an introduction they can make to help them, they talk to the unemployed person and say: 'I understand you are in accounting. I know John at Company X. He is the CFO. Would an introduction to him be helpful?'"
The economy affects us all. Rarely before has this been more apparent than now, with an ever-increasing number of our friends, family, and church members finding themselves in a time of transition.
But whether we've been directly affected or not, we're all connected by this issue. Every member of Brentwood Baptist Church falls into one of three groups:
1. Those looking for work.2. Those with work available.
3. Those who can lend spiritual, emotional, financial, or professional support.
Every person connected to Jesus Christ can and should help others during this time. Brentwood Baptist cares about individuals who are going through transition, and there are many ways in which our members are striving to help. This section of our website is designed to be a resource for those going through a time of transition. But its goal is to also encourage every one to take an active role in connecting those who need help with those who have help.
During this time, we encourage you to use the content in this section to find a way to connect to God and to connect with one another as we seek to journey together.
