BackBill Wilson/Brentwood Baptist Scholarship to Belmont University
Each year, the student ministry of Brentwood Baptist has the honor of presenting college scholarships to members of our church who are attending Belmont University. These scholarships are given in honor of our founding pastor, Bill Wilson, from a foundation set up by members in the past decade.
Students need only to apply once each year and must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a member of Brentwood Baptist Church.
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student, undergraduate (12 hours minimum) at Belmont University for the coming academic year.
- Must complete the scholarship application in full and return to the student ministry office no later than the end of the day on Wednesday, February 15, 2012.
- Must have two (2) letters of recommendation received in the student ministry office no later than the end of the day on Wednesday, February 15, 2012.
- Also, please note that children of faculty or staff of Belmont, University College students, and graduate students are not eligible for this scholarship. All endowed scholarships are for full-time, undergraduate, “traditional” students.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of all eligibility criteria. The total amount awarded varies according to the amount of interest accrued and, therefore, changes from year to year. All eligible applications will receive at least some amount.
Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. The Student Ministry Office will notify scholarship recipients at the home address provided on or before March 15, 2012.
Note that the scholarships awarded are annual and Belmont usually applies half of the amount to each semester of an academic year.
