LifeGroups Distinctives

Do I get to choose my group? How large are LifeGroups? When do they meet? How long do they last? Find the answers to these and other questions below as we list other "distinctives" of LifeGroups at The Church at Station Hill.

Embracing people right where they are. Anyone is free to engage and belong to a LifeGroup.

We believe that chemistry is huge. Groups are free to form around friendship, life-stage, interests, etc.

We understand that intimacy should not be forced. LifeGroup is a safe place to meet new friends, support one another, and grow together. While intimacy often does occur, no one is forced to share more than they are comfortable sharing.

We understand that some groups just don't jell,or that some people just don't jell in a particular group. That's OK! We make it socially acceptable to change groups. Each member has the freedom to exit a group after 3 weeks or at the semester end.

We have discovered that most people feel more comfortable, stay longer, form significant connections, and grow spiritually in larger groups. Therefore, our LifeGroups have up to 20 members in them.

LifeGroups last for one semester (10-12 weeks) beginning in September and January. Each member will have the freedom to re-invest in the same group at the beginning of each new semester or try a new one.

Most weeks in LifeGroups, our Bible Study component will focus on the same passage as Sunday's message, allowing us to go deeper and challenging us take the message out of the worship center and into our everyday lives.

What about the summer months?
LifeGroups officially take a break during the summer months, although, groups are free to keep meeting if they desire. We offer a number of special interest groups during the summer months.
