Judges 13:2-25
Table Talk Questions
- Samson (his name meaning “little sun”) was born to great promise. What hopes do you have for the next generation as a whole? For your children? For your grandchildren?
- A repeated phrase in the book of Judges is “everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” How does this phrase apply to the world in which we are raising up the next generation today?
- While Samson had great promise and great ability, the accounts we have of his life are primarily all about him and his exploits. In our homes and churches, how do we help the next generation “see” the need to live for something larger than themselves?
- Samson’s complicated life leaves a mixed and tragic legacy. How do we see God at work despite the darkness of this story and how do we hear echoes of the gospel?
- In your home, how can you instill the truth of God’s Word to reinforce and defend against the influence of the cultures all around us? (Judges 2:10-14)
